Block retaining wall built to level a sloped backyard, with a 12x12 concrete slab poured on top as a hot tub pad. Two services, one project, one crew.
The homeowner needed to create a level outdoor entertaining space on a sloped backyard. We built a block retaining wall to hold the hillside, then poured a 12x12 concrete slab directly on top to serve as a hot tub pad. The wall and slab were designed together so the load transfers properly. Clean result and a great use of an otherwise unusable slope.
